Coaching and Counselling

In theory, coaching and counselling can be very different. Coaching helps you achieve your goals based on where you’re at right now, without delving too much into the past.  Counselling helps you sort through whatever deeper issues or patterns might be keeping you stuck.

In practice, the two very often go hand in hand.  Because so often, there are deeper issues that are holding you back, keeping you stuck.

Accepting and exploring and moving past these issues can be the key to real freedom.

Here’s what you can expect:

The relationship you’ll experience with me may be unlike anything you’ve experienced before – no judgment, absolute trust, and the warmest regard.

The only agenda in the room will be yours, and we’ll co-create our direction and process so that it’s meaningful and comfortable for you.

My role is to help you achieve greater clarity and ease and momentum in your life; yours is to show up – with curiosity, self-compassion, and a little courage. I’ll gently hold you accountable, but you’ll decide what’s right for you, and when. The work we do together won’t always be easy – but it will always be safe.

Tears, laughter, high and low energy – they’re all okay.

You are okay.

Yes, a safe space, revealing conversation, and gentle accountability can be amazingly cathartic.
But fit is everything. So let’s get to know each other a bit first, with absolutely no pressure to commit.

Coach Mentoring and Training

Being a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited through the International Coach Federation (ICF), I appreciate how powerful effective coaching can be for clients — and how essential ongoing mentoring and training is in helping coaches master that effectiveness.

Are you a practicing coach looking to enrich your coaching skills and/or pursue your Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or PCC credentials?

In adherence with the ICF mentor coach guidelines, I offer flexible individual and group mentorship. Based on observed “live” peer/demo sessions or recorded coaching sessions submitted by you, mentorship gives you direct feedback to validate and celebrate your strengths while also shining a light on any blind spots — and enables the collaborative, exploratory analysis, dialogue and practice to remedy them.

Advanced Coach Training

Coming this Fall, I will be offering advanced coach training for those coaches who aspire not only to deepen their mastery of coaching but to enrich their experience of being a coach.

Ongoing personal and professional development contributes to our sense of confidence, authenticity, meaning, and joy. After all, in addition to holding space for others in our coaching, we must learn to hold space for ourselves — amidst all the challenges and pressures of our practice, our lives and relationships, and our world.

If you want to have a more profound and fulfilling “felt sense” of your life as a coach, or you have specific training needs, I welcome hearing from you.
